A Little Larceny Never Harmed Anybody

A travel blog entry by hermes.olympia

I'm back! Really been trying to test my power lately, thought I'd give myself a little challenge. So I just snuck into Apollo's farm, totally managed to steal his entire herd without him knowing! When they started moving i saw their hoof marks in the ground pointing right to me, and we couldn't have that now could we. So, in a stroke of genius, I put their hoofs backwards! So now no one knows where they could've gone! Ha! Good luck Apollo, I totally outdid myself here!

... and destroyed 80 percent of the church. But since it was a wealthy church it was easily repaired in no time. The entire church is decorated from top to bottem with beautiful icons. St. Paul, who was the first Christian and who also started the first church of Thessaloniki, and Dimitrios, who the church is named after, are two of the biggest icons of this church!

We then headed to Vergina to check out the Tumulus. A tumulus is literally an ancient burial site. The ...

... years. The tomb of Phillip is in a group with three other tombs, or tumuli. One is a grave of an unknown hero; one is the resting place of Phillip's grandson, who was probably killed by a plotting uncle; the third is the tomb of a small family, possibly Phillip's, which is decorated with the story of Persephone being taken to the underworld by Hades. Amazingly, many of the colors in the paintings have been preserved by nature of being underground. How do we ...
