Small rooms, very little space for storage. Less isn't always more.

    Bicycle drama

We woke up to a perfect sunny day without wind and of course that is the day that my bicycle decides to break its chain. Fortunately and thanks to Google we were able to find a bicycle repair shop in nearby Skjern with some really accommodating people, and after waving, pointing and speaking our best Danish we were able to get a new chain fitted and we were soon on our way again.

Skjern is situated on a fiord and the surrounding country side is swampy except for where it has been ...

They are very excited in Fredericia to have cruise ships coming, so the whole town came to welcome us and send us off!!!! It was a holiday in all of Denmark, constitution day, so they had crafts in the park and there were celebrations everywhere. We had a guide ...

... breakfast and showers, then off to town for a wander. A lovely little place with three streams running through in quick succession and all the old crooked buildings still intact (photos don't really do them justice). The only shame was that it was absolutely dead with no atmosphere. We soon realised shops don't open till 10am so at 0945, we were obviously just too early for Ribe / Denmark. So we wandered around for a few photos and then circled back to a little ...

... season, turning their blubber into oil in the time honoured fashion.

Speaking of turning someone’s blubber into oil, I think we could have happily done so to each other after a poor, no atrocious, episode of tying CW safely alongside in a strongish off the pontoon breeze. Suffice it to say that we are both still here and speaking to each other, but it took a while to do so!

    Once we’d calmed down, ...
