Did 312 miles today, all on very good roads. The scenery was just fantastic, most of it through mountains. Great scenery, roads all in all very good quality as well. Traffic was light and it only rained for 30 minutes...so a really good riding day. Crossed from Montenegro into Serbia, border took 5 minutes. It appears that Serbia doesn't do insurance......

Check out the pics, mainly from Montenegro....

It was so fun… they all ran up to our car and were smiling and laughing and reaching into our windows to give us hugs and greet us, and yelling "More of our family is here!" As ...

But, this sense of security did not last long. He recalled the death of his twin brother as his brother tried to escape the bullets of soldiers by jumping through a window. He talked about his friends and neighbors being killed as they played a game ...

      Busy days on the road

      ... mountain air.

The next day we spent on the road, but with some nice stops including a monastery, getting to Sirogojno, Serbia. This is what they call an open air museum. It is a traditional village of old wooden buildings that is meant to depict what life was like in 19th century Serbia. Tourists can stay in some of the houses, which now have modern facilities. We also ate ...
