Getting lost in Rome

A travel blog entry by larosa_m on Jun 19, 2015

... at the beautiful Sistine chapel where Michelangelos artwork and amazing ceiling plasterworks was in view.. No photos were able to be taken here but Giovanni took a sneaky pic and got caught and we got kicked out. Luckily we were able to sneak back in and appreciate the beautiful works. The final part of our tour was St. Peter basilica which is always amazing to see again. We took pictures, visited the pope tombs and saw the magnificent statues. ...

Tomorrow we head off via a supermarket for a big ...

There are still brown bear, wolves and lynx in this part of the country but our chances of seeing any are very slim as apparently they are very shy.

It's a national holiday so initially the drive from Rome is a nightmare. ...

... have, we decided to go to the attached restaurant for lunch. It was a location just like what you would imagine,! Sitting under an umbrella overlooking the beach and the blue sea. Lovely! Lunch was great. Seafood oriented, naturally enough. Liz ordered skewer of fish and Michael fried prawn and squid. Both were very large serves and delicious. We also were given grilled vegetables and a green salad - again big serves. It was a great lunch. After this we decided to give the ruins ...
