... in Rome in the Trastevere area and we are going to the show (begins at 10.30 pm – will I stay awake??). Too much to eat but wonderful day.



Saturday: Slept in, did the washing and then went into Cisterna to do some shopping – once again mainly for gifts including for Antonietta. It was quite busy in there today but good to see. Light lunch at home and hanging around doing organizational things ...

... the office so we gave up – worth about $20 to us.

The flight was fine and on time and lovely cousin Toni was waiting for us at Fiumincino. All the boys and grandchildren were there again tonight. Very noising but loads of fun and food once again fantastic. Best prosciutto. Toni’s home made in Fuschi was magnificent. It is also a LOT warmer in Italy – summer yet again!

... has ravioli with butter and sage sauce and it was the best she has had. Michael and Frank had the restaurant signature dish (needs a minimum of two people). Which was long pasta with a pecorino cheese sauce, but they actually bring out a large pecorino cheese round which is hollowed out like a bowl. The pasta goes inside and they scrape the edges and mix it all up, then serve. It also tasted great. All in all a very good meal and time was had by all. Back home and fall into bed, tired but ...
