Off to the airport to pick up Mark who has joined us for a few days so we get to see some more of the Island. We then head up to a historical town called Erice for lunch and the views were stunning. A Sunday night stroll through the city to show the sights to Mark was a real eye opener as all the SIcilians were out promenading so we just had to stop and have a Mojito and people ...

We wake up at 5am and dump Alison and Scott on the quay and make a quick get away as 50 miles to do before the windy front arrives, that Is due late afternoon. We make good time and turn the corner of the west coast as the winds pick up so glad to be in harbour by 3. Trapini was supposed to be a quiet fishing village known for its good fish restaurants but once again duff info. A busy port with lots of ferries ...

We never did find the two fresh fish ...

No actual invitation ever materialised, though, until today when we wanted to get in the car and go. It was pretty funny. Her husband as no english and no teeth and a passion for geography. He kept pulling out atlases to show us maps of Melbourne and Australia. He then also stepped ...

... of hours sunbathing and rock jumping. This pretty cove was made famous in the movie Oceans Twelve.

The next day we did a 5hr snorkelling boat trip up to the Zingaro national park. You can hike in but some of the beaches are a 4-6 hr hike away and this just isn't possible with a 2 and 5 year old in the heat. The snorkelling trip included sparkling wine and boxes of fresh nectarines and plums for lunch! One great thing we've found in Europe is ...
