... day out - we got back into the Port about 5pm. I returned to the Dive Centre and bought a shirt and their driver returned us all back to our hotels which was excellent service I thought.

I was feeling peckish so went out for dinner. Had a Penang Chicken Curry for my first main meal out. Was nice - for entree I had 'Porpia' or Spring Rolls. After tea I went and got a haircut - which was really just a trim. ...

... lol. After which we got back on our boat and headed to another small island, with alot less people to do some snorkeling, saw some small fish, not much variety, both Will and I cut our foot on the rocks, not too bad, but annoying none the less, we saw some sea urchins but thankfully didnt step on any lol. After 1 hour snorkeling we headed back towards Pattaya beach and on the way went to do some para-sailing, talk about fun, we were only in the air for like 2 minutes ...

We look around the market and visit until 2 in the afternoon. Then, I catch my minibus ride to Pattaya and the boys start back home to Battambang. I get to Pattaya at 8:45 p.m. It was a long ride and I am back on the beach in ...

Pavorothai and being fingered by the cops

Monday evening was spent at the other end of the cultural spectrum from the neon world of ping pong shows, lady boys and “Boyz Town” that is central Pattaya. We headed out again to Silverlake for a night of opera at Silverlake Wine & Grill (under the same ownership as the vineyard across the road), an impressive Italian restaurant built in Tuscan style. On the way there was one of those sublime moments in life when one ...

Day 34 - a temple and heading to Chiang Mai

A travel blog entry by malinda.egg on Jan 02, 2012

... sweating so much at the temples today it was nice and refreshing to be in the cool water though.  After getting out of the pool we got changed and headed down to streets in search of a cheap Thai foot massage. It was 100 baht (about $3 something) for 30 minutes. After doing feet and legs for 20 minutes they then massaged our head, neck and shoulders which was a nice extra. We tipped the people and headed  back to the hotel where we ...
