    Following our excitement on Saturday, we were looking for a calmer day. Alison and I planned to walk to the Suzhou Silk Museum. It has received several favorable reviews on TripAdvisor. The others decided to join us. Unfortunately, TripAdvisor didn't note that the museum was closed for renovation.     ... turned out very well! Nothing too weird appeared and everything got eaten up. We visited an old, large family home and tried the bows and arrows. Then we bought some souvenirs and walked on to the Sex Museum. This was shut though which we were a bit disappointed by!     ... one long table. Veggie options were a little limited but after all the walking a pizza sounded acceptable to me. Unfortunately it was very oily and thick based but the beer and company were good so no complaints really, and most of the other meals looked very delicious. We headed back to the hostel, getting soaked again and then bought them out of beer and sat up playing drinking games until late.     ... were beautiful reminders of Chinese attentiveness for detail and precision. Mandarin ducks swimming in the cool waterbodies represent love in the Chinese culture because if one partner dies then the other will starve to death.


    A ride on the Chinese boat along the canal while listening to the boatman singing a love ballad was the high point of the day.
