... Hilton. We are definitely impressed with CCAI's hotel choices. This hotel has an outdoor pool, which we plan to take advantage of here in a little bit tonight. There was a paperwork meeting at 4:00 today, and then tomorrow is the medical exam and visa photograph. We will be doing some of the optional tours during the week, which include a river cruise and trip to the Pearl Market. At the moment, we are all feeling much better. One more week to go!

Oh and my parents lovely friends Chris and Christine who will be meeting me off the ...

This would have let us count China on our list of places visited, but the airports construction, currency change, and figuring everything out with very tired kids proved to be overwhelming so we found some chairs in front of a two minute looping video and watched it a few hundred times. I saw ...

... forced us to sleep. After the flight we landed in Guangzhou, China. Here I would experience my first ever layover. The layover was six hours, and it was not fun. The food wasn't good, some of it smelled very different to what I'm used to and the speakers were constantly announcing things in a super loud, choppy, robotic voice. Finally we boarded the plane at 12:30. The plane was super fancy and new. It was a dream liner, so it was quite spacious. I sat in seat 45G, which was an aisle ...
