... But it was a total mob scene with Chinese tour groups. Ended the day leisurely wandering around the village my Tulou was in and found it nice and peaceful like the first cluster I visited. Then spent the evening hanging out in the courtyard of the Tulou in which I was staying. I realized that it definitely was a historic Tulou when the occasional tour group trickled through. Pictures will say much more than this narrative will but sadly the Internet at this new Hostel is not great either ...

I awoke at 6 am and immediately showered. For breakfast, I had fruit and eggs. We went to the gift shop at the hotel with all the ladies and I got a Really cool jade Buddha necklace. I also got a silver bracelet with a Buddha pendant for a gift. Terry bought about 15 sparkly clips and gave me a pink one : ). The Tulou's were beautiful even if it was raining. It almost even added to the effect of the old culture. Some tulous have been remodeled and been made into hotels to include electricity. Others remain tattered and on their last breath.
