... place! Located right in the forest in a tiny village it was perfect. It had good facilities, nice food and great views too! Quite pricey at £12 a night though! The next day we set about walking in the bamboo forest. This was really nice to see some of rural China! There were thousands of bamboo trees and many walkways amongst them. We saw a snake on the way down... Needless to say I was not impressed and wanted out ...

... actually meet in China… Our recently built 4 Star hotel in any case was luckily free of any unwelcome guests. :-) In the evening we had a BBQ outside the hotel under the front roof. Not really a big tourist place, more like a get away from the city. I can see the appeal of staying in one of the many $500+/night resorts on the top of the mountain. I opted for the $30/night hotel at the bottom. It was quite nice. Moganshan has made onto the list of places I would return to. There is potential for camping...

Once in Tongli we saw the big lake one of the biggest in China and canals. We had to get on an electric golf cart to get into the town as buses and cars are not allowed though bikes are! The ladies drove very fast and took us into the centre. We walked along and saw pig's knuckles and pig trotters for sale. They smelled very nice and they were barbequed. ...
