We were invited out with some of the staff on Tuesday night to Laowi Town to a quiz night which was good fun. We then met Silvie, the CP at Munchner Biergarten, the German bar on Wednesday and the Italian restaurant Thursday evenings.

Even worse, there's less room between benches and in the aisle as there is on the new trains. We were packed in like sardines. To make matters even worse, the old trains allow for standing room tickets even though there are no ...

We left early on Wednesday morning to head for Zhoushan Island (舟山岛). Before heading to the hotel, we went to Mount Putuo (普陀山). Mount Putuo is considered to be the home of Guanyin (a form of Buddha) and is one of the four sacred mountains in Chinese Buddhism. We were able to walk around and see ...
