... cable car. I don’t want to know how many hours it took over the holidays…

The view from the cable car was amazing but arriving on the mountain top was even better. On the ground it was cloudy and on the mountain we were above the clouds and it was warm and sunny. We were on about 1600m height. After taking some first breathtaking pictures we hiked the stairs up and down to our hotel which took about an hour. Even on the mountains everything is plastered ...

So I finally felt ready to commit (not to mention it was
crunch time) to buying tickets after thorough research. So off I was to the
ticket office- a “quick errand” I planned to get in in-between ...

We started this morning super early! We were ready for the bus at 6, but found out it didn't arrive until 6:30. Our bus ride from Hangzhou to Shaoxing was a little over an hour long so we were able to nap for a little bit. Our first stop in Shaoxing was at the residence of Lu Xun. It is a nice house, typical of wealthy Chinese homes. You are able to see where he slept, where he wrote and the 100 plants garden that is mentioned in some of his stories. We ...

As we drove around the city, all we could see was huge boxes everywhere and trucks moving goods around. We were pretty sure this is where a lot of good are made and we could make out factories in the buildings. It was eye opening especially after all the documentaries we have seen.

We then went to another city called Hengdian, which is China's equivalent to Hollywood and Universal Studios. ...
