... had just enough time to all go to the toilet before the bus was ready to depart. Due to our arrival at the other train station in Nanjing, we had to dash across town to try and make our last subway, which we missed! This meant a 20 minute walk but it was a nice and dry evening and we continued our cheerful chatter. We stopped at the night market for some dinner and then sat together eating and laughing- a great ...

One of the other au-pairs managed to get us out of "just the au pair" singing duties, which meant we would only have to sing Jingle Bells with the kids. Last week I became ill with sore throat/cough/cold (which is tailing off now) and just didn't feel great, and I wasn't looking forward to this strange sounding party if I'm being honest. 2 weeks ago when Lopair told us we would have to sing a song, she seemed ...

... yes, I'm not a joey". I think, indeed your not, good choice. Jake gets the night off so we all start to make a move for the last train back to Shanghai. I'm thinking will it be like the late trains from London bridge!!! On the way I decide that I'm going to be brave and eat in the little Chinese restaurant under Jakes flat. He knows what to order so I give it a go. Leaving us to it Adam decides he likes the look of the food some other Chinese man is eating. It ...
