        ... but all we found was an isolated dwelling where we could buy cheese and hot tea. We ended up hiking a loop back to Ardez, then taking the train to Scuol. It was an interesting day with 7 hours on the trail. On 9/24 we took two buses to Tschlin then hiked to Vna.         ... had a lot of sgraffito. The hike was fairly flat until until we we reached the base of the hill on which Guarda sat and then it was about 100 miles up the hill! On 9/23 we awoke to snow!
