... we stopped in a street rest garden for a dinner of marmite and cheese sandwiches. We were minding our own business when two young girls smothered in lip gloss approached us and made the following request: 'Hi, can we kiss you on the cheek?' ... there and quickly asked if we would like to take advantage of an upgrade he had offer. Normally we would say no but it was for their best room at the hotel, before we could answer he had dropped the price down three times and he also threw in a bottle of wine! By this time it was 2am and I was begging and pleading with the stony-faced officials, nearly in tears. We had done so much to get there - for nothing! Nicola came over and talked to me through the glass, and very, very kindly came out with me to stay with me. ... 8:30pm we still had a whole day to make the most of first. We decided to make our way across to Hong Kong island, walked down to Olympic and get on for 2 stops south to central.
