    We are just back to hotel after 12 hours out and about. Started our day with train wrong direction BUT got sorted and found our way to Marina Bay. We then walked to Gardens on the Bay entering both magnificent domes. stunning what has been created. We could not go by the MBS Hotel without going up to lookout on ship ....56 stories up 2600 ...

    ... around the shops in the meantime. I hadn't played in about 5 years so I was fairly rusty (if I'm being generous to myself) but still caught a couple of shots clean! Luckily we had buggies, the heat was immense and sweat poured off us! Afterwards I had a well needed snooze and then frank met us at 'the green man' for an English meal! Shepherds pie hit the spot and did the job for me! Afterwards myself and alex headed to Chinatown where there was a night market and picked up a few bits ...

    Paul and I were up early and went and found a Starbucks for coffee. Met Mark and Deb at 8 then went and had breakfast. We decided to walk to the Singapore Flyer to book some tours. It was about a 40 min walk around Marina Bay and through parks to get there. We did a hop-on-hop off bus tour of the City to see where everything was, then booked our Night Safari zoo tour for that ...

    ... shapes and sizes on our tram ride through 'the jungle' after which we watched The Creatures of the Night show. This included a variety of smaller animals, from a snake, to otters, to a tiger, and finally to an unexpected guest in the form of a lizard who scared the life out of the crowd after appearing out of the undergrowth and making home on a woman's jacket. I'm now lying in bed in my hostel feeling a little sunburnt and contemplating what to do ...
