... waiters to sweep up later on. We finished our drinks and continued our walk past a cathedral, the cricket club, another elitist bolt hole, before walking along the river and over the bridge into Chinatown. We went for a walk down to the beach though sadly many, many steps back up again. We stocked up on some biscuits for John's mid night hypos. We had room service for dinner so shared a starter and main between us. We plan to go into town tomorrow to get some souvenirs and ...

      A day experience around Bugis

... we did not have a hard time adapting and we enjoyed ourselves very much here in Singapore. Furthermore, almost all of our group members are Bhuddish, we loved visiting the Guan Yin temple located at the other side of Bugis Street. A totally different side of the city: one is crowded, lively and full of young people shopping around, one side is also crowded, but there was a strong religious feel in the air and in all ...
