    ... and some dancing. It was so nice outside we opted to skip the Congo and chicken dance and chat with like minded travellers. Fun fact: in the forest near Miltenberg there are millions of frogs that migrate to the river during spring. As so many were getting killed by traffic a tunnel was built under the road so the frogs would have safe passage to the river ...

    ... that at the end of every August there is a massive festival celebrating these museums, with German food and drink stalls lining both banks of the Main River for a few days. At the time I thought it may not have been a coincidence that there looked to be a heap of stalls being set up, and that it was nearing the end of August.     ... in Cologne half an hour ahead of schedule, which gave us a longer lunch break to grab a bite to eat and do some sightseeing.

    Directly around the corner from our drop off spot was a beautiful cathedral which I believe is called the Cologne Cathedral. It is a huge church filled with very ornate statues, artwork and stained glass windows. We walked through the entire sanctuary taking many photos to admire later.

    ... architecture in Altstadt (Old Town) has been restored to its former glory. Presumably this is a major factor in the German Market Research Institute this month naming Leipzig as the most liveable city in Germany. Another is the new underground metro that started running this very weekend. I should have gone on it but it was predictably packed out and crowded.
