    Thursday 28th August 2014

We woke up to no condensation this morning, a first for quite a long time. We expect this in September but not August so it shows how cold the nights have been getting. We are still very cosy with just our summer duvet on but normally we would have just the duvet cover!

We went to the Haven Meister to hand in our gate fob and bought some charts. Isi asked about the WiFi because of ...

... for petrol around midday, and planned to find a supermarket to buy some fruit for lunch. But I was so engrossed in the audiobook that I entirely forgot about lunch, and the next thing I knew it was nearly 3pm and I was just an hour out of Rotterdam. ... s 'Nightwatch' in Delft, composed of four hundred eighty 14 x 14 inch tiles, that took two men 13 months, from May 1999 to June, 2000 to complete.

The actual manufacture was the least interesting part of the tour. While similar to Quimper (where we have taken the factory tour at least three times), the process seems less complex. Certainly we see fewer molds. Very little is happening; we see a single master painter and a single fiinisher in the ...

Our morning started very early because the sun was up and very bright by 5am and then the trams started running every 15 minutes. The track is located about 50 metres from our room. Therefore we went to the beach first thing (7:30am), at noon, and again this evening (7:30-10pm).

After breakfast, we took the Tram (streetcar) to the The Hague, about a 15 minute ride. We have transit passes for 4 days which were part of ...
