... Took the all glass Funicular to the castle on top of the hill. Previously medieval, additions & rebuilding occurred in 17th&18th centuries. Towers, walls , dungeons, & part of the great wall are part of the newer buildings. The castle is used for displays, weddings & concerts.
Strolled to dinner & ate delicious veal & Slovenian Limoncello -gratis from our waiter. We walked through the late evening, reflections of lights in the river ...

Wednesday we had an easy day, we went shopping. Drove 100 k to an outlet mall for the day and spent 4 hours wandering round the shops before driving back and changing to go out for dinner. Made a few small purchases but nothing significant. Out to dinner with Uta and Rene ( our hosts), Lina and Anna (Uta's daughters), Uta's parents, Ralph and Gabi, Uta's sister and brother in law and Peter, Rad and myself. ...
