We reached the taxi half expecting to be refused due to our soaked condition but the nice man didn’t even mention it, so off we started home, the trams had broken down due to the electricity being disrupted by the severity of the rainfall and in one place the road was submerged but our intrepid taxi driver got us all the way home, God bless him. Towels and hot toddies all round. x
