... yet crispy,my pizza was what we would call a quarto, I had 4 section - one wth red tomatoes,one with yellow tomatoes, one margarita style with large hunks of boccini cheese and sorry can't remember what it was but a salad f some sort, to wash it all down we-had these spritzer drinks these Italian style Martines made up red or white wine, with soda and olive on a toothpick very very yummy, ruvelle had 2 and was ery happy, from there we just wandered and stopped at ...
... a few (16?) inhabitants...was previously a thriving community in the 12th century. After, I returned to Venice to continue my "get lost" tour of Venice and all its canals. Stopped for a Spritz then home to my room for 4:30. Local dinner at the pizzeria - last pizza (11.5€). Back to room for pics, emails, reading and generally not sleeping until probably after 2 am. Heard from MC (12:30) with pics of Goli home at ...
... But, we made light of this and, like the naughty school children she thought us to be, joked about her behind her back.
Despite her lack of friendliness, she still gave us a good tour with lots of great information. The tour itself was nice because, like our tour of the Colosseum, it gave us a behind the scenes look at the Palazzo Ducale and access to places no one else could enter, such as Casanova's prison cell. ...
We had a bit of a sleep in this morning only having breakfast at 8am. I had a refreshing cold shower which is not something I want to repeat again. Breakfast was a buffet, which seemed more disorganised than the previous place.
We all hoped on the bus which took us across the bridge into Venice. The closest it could get was Piazzaie Trochetto and we caught the people mover from there in (which is like a tram).
Sarah took us on a walking tour into Venice ...
... his Vitruvian Man sketch which was his analysis of the perfect proportions of man: so much Maths! I spend the rest of the day wandering around the less touristy areas around the Academia, stopping for a pizza lunch (and a quick sit down) and then wander back across to the Rialto area, but again keep to the less touristy areas. I also do a bit of shopping, not sure if I'll be able to get my case closed now but I guess I'll have ...
