    ... canal towpaths relatively quickly (the le greens Glastonbury playlist was very helpful!) before stopping in Marckolsheim for a snack, never seen anyone polish off 30 Jaffa cakes as quickly as simon did...     ... The next day involved a kayaking adventure which turned into something that seemed like a Titanic-esque saga at the time. In fact, we checked youtube the next day to see if our adventure had been posted it was that entertaining. More on that later.     ... but as one German lady pointed out, "rather McDonalds than the Nazis!" He's been showing the photos to many people, mainly in a quest for identification and they have all been so interested to see them, even the ones of the bombed out streets.     ... of Staufen.

    This little castle is set on a hill overlooking the town and provides a great view of the surrounding countryside, the town, and the vineyards planted on the side of the hill. After taking some pictures and soaking in the view, we made our way back to the train station and took a train back to Bad Krozingen.
