    ... hot to walk, so we hired a buggy to take us around. We visited an exhibition hall and an aquatic museum that housed terracotta warriors and horses. We also looked in a temple and I lit incense sticks and bowed before the God of Money (before being asked for a donation).     ... a drink in the Bike and coffee shop inside the city wall, before going to the Shangri-La for a drink (we are staying in the Jinjiang Inn 100 yards down the road. We had a funny incident where we asked the manager to write down 'mosque' and when we got in the taxi we discovered he had written 'Moscow' instead! We eventually got to the mosque and ate in a courtyard 'cafe' to give it a grand name, in a hutong.

    ... Tomorrow is mid-autumn day in China so it's a public holiday. This is a time when families come together - which explains why there have been a lot of weddings in town. Our concert is mid-afternoon.     ... Xuzhou seems much ‘flasher’. While it was dark as we drove in from the station it seemed more beautifully kept and there’s a lot going on. I guess we will have the opportunity to see tomorrow. We are in the Best Western Hotel which is by far the nicest we have had so far.
