    As with the pending election the leader is always under the microscope. His indiscretions are highlighted 10 fold and it's always nice to know that he has his failing like all of us! So you can imagine the cheer this morning when during checkout Nigel was required to pay 25 Yuan ($5) to replace the coat hanger he had inadvertently 'borrowed' from the hotel.     ... and hard bed carriages. It transpires that we will be in the hard beds. Easy! No doubt you will await that story with interest.

    A few more statistics to put into context the size of this place. To date we have stayed in 3 cities. Their combined populations are 20.6 million and this equates to only 14% of the total population.
