Katakolon is a small town on the coast very near where the Olympics first began over 2000 years ago. It's about a 45 minute drive out to the site to see the ruins. Mom is getting tired of ruins. Gradually though the sun burned through and I decided to hit my bunk for an hour. It was a really pleasant sail to Zakinthos which is a really pretty port. Its looking like we will stay here for a day while John changes the oil in our engines and Simon and I take care of provisioning which is lucky for me, because I can tell you, it's hard work cleaning a cabin with a toothpick and a box of cotton buds when the boat is at 45 degrees!
... campers, right on the beach, looking out across the ocean to the Ionian isands - Kefalonia and Zakinthos. People had built lots of windmills along the edge of the beach, which were going mad in the strengthenng wind.
Had a beautiful swim right on sunset where we spent lots of time together just mucking aroud in the wave. Took some really nice photos of Sara in the sea with the sunset behind. Not a great night as the wind got really strong and ...

Well, my day got off to a flying start when I went out onto our terrace... scruff cat had left the remains of his rat supper on the grass right between our two terraces... and they were swarming with wasps; must have been fifty or more of the blighters. Took me about ten minutes to round up all the bits and avoid getting stung by the now less than happy wasps. You'll be pleased to know that I didn't feel the need to photograph ...
