Day 2

IJmuidenWe set our clocks forward an hour last night when we went to bed. Had a good nights sleep and didn't wake until 9am.

The museum is houses inside the former palace, Lange Voorhout Palace in which was purchased by Queen Emma in the late 1800s As a winter retreat and had subsequently been used as a business palace by the proceeding 4 queens until business was moved a few years back. ... wall when looking into the restaurant was a Japanese themed bamboo artwork, and on the opposite wall hung pictures of Jimmy Hendrix, reggae artists and Rastafarian pieces. On the window at the front a big vegan was painted in pink as well as words about peace, eating well and spirituality.
