    ... island and Kai Island, it was a long day but good, we were able to swim and snorkel and just generally relax! At one of the stops we were in the middle on the ocean and. Just jumped off and snorkelled the marine life was amazing! That night I ticked off another Hard Rock Cafe off the list the fajitas and skins were delicious!!! Yesterday we swum and swum and swum! Was blissful! Today we may just have to do the same - damn! ...

    ... domestic, Megan and Don arrived, we said goodbye to Alanna (few tears!), flight to phuket took 2hrs, got a minibus to Patong (had to wait ages before it left, then had to pay for Mae as they had so much luggage), lots of traffic so took ages.

It was a big night, Ben got his new name "hissy" for getting overly upset when he got a scratch on his arm.     ... bus driver then just took us straight to Patong Beach instead of continuing the tour, but the boys didn't mind as it allowed them more shopping time there. After dinner on the beach, the boys spent a couple of hours shopping. We then when for a "gentle" stroll along the (in)famous Bangla Rd, with its Ladyboys, touts, and animals. Bangla Rd is synonymous with Phuket and is arguably the tourist hub of the island (as Koh San Rd is in Bangkok).

    Well the drive down to Kamala was an eye opener. It turns out this is a busy corner of the world! The drive from the airport to the resort a couple of days ago had been through rural areas. As the taxi took us from the resort down towards Kamala Beach we started to drive through more commercial districts and the traffic definitely got thicker.

    It was about 40 minutes and we recognized the main drag from Google Street view, but our driver had no clue ...
