... due to volcanic activity the ropeway is currently closed so a bus completes the circuit. My initial plan was to do the circuit anyway and use it to plan future stops in the area. However, the weather was going to be 55-65 degrees depending on elevation. We were going to use public transportation to get there so I thought it might be better to get Will and Mike moving in the great outdoors. We can do the loop another time and depending on interests of future guests we ...

... me. For breakfast the next morning, second verse, same as the first. More of the same. Grilled fish, orange slices, more rice and sweet egg bake. The bullet train ride was only about 25 minutes before we got to the nearest station to Hakone ...

... guests seem to be here to enjoy the onsen facilities, you only have to site in the foyer - 90% are roaming around in yukatas (cottons dressing gown). The surrounding gardens are beautiful with 2 waterfalls and a small shrine. Cam and Omi had a soak in the hot tub and Celie is amused because when you open the toilet door the toilet lid automatically puts itself up and makes a sound like 'hi'. We area about to go to dinner, not sure what to expect but we're very excited. Until ...

... part of Tokyo and also the venue for Tokyo's most visited temple, the Senoji Temple. There has been some sort of place of worship on this site since 628 AD, although the current temple was built in 1950. Leading up to the Temple is a magnificent gate and pedestrianised walkway with little shops selling a range of things from snacks and touristy kitch to crafts and gifts. Surrounding the Senoji Temple are little laneways with lots of lovely individual shops catering for ...
