big those drops are off the edge this winding road or perhaps track describes this
better. Then onto Lake Predil and a stop for coffee and then onto
Italy and drop through a long steep valley then over Nassfeld Pass and back into
Austria - a touch of rain but nothing will dampen today's experience

... I was keen to visit and see how they compare to Waitomo. We started early to "miss the crowds" arriving just after 9am after a lovely drive through many cute Slovenian villages. The experience is 1.5hrs long and consists of a train ride about 4kms into the cave and then a 45min walk with guide. This was mass tourism at its best as our tour had about 200 people grouped into about 3 groups and the cave even included an underground souvenir shop and bathrooms! The ...
