Yesterday was an exhausting yet amazing new day.

First of all, we performed a Vattanfall event show in Uppsala on Monday night. Blimey what a day yesterday was.

We were up and out a decent time, all packed up and dressed for the game (packed lunch, flags, cameras, sweets, everything you need for a long coach journey). Caught the train from Helsinki to Turku which only took about two hours. They have very nice trains. Easy city to navigate. I'm going to check out the harbour and book a spot on one of the ferries heading for ALands. Unfortunately I can't go today because the ferries only depart at 0815 and 2015. So I'm staying in Turku today which is fine because I forgot that I wanted to see the castle. Now I'm just waiting for the hostel to open so I can drop my bag off. It's getting lighter every day.

The room is up by 8:30. Early for backpackers. I have coffee (instant – far from ideal), strawberries and bread/cheese that I had brought from Helsinki. OK for breakfast. For the morning, I hang around with a guy from South Korea who speaks limited English. It is his first trip internationally. I give him advice. I later take off for Naantali, a laid-back beach resort about 20 minutes away. Most people who go there are going to a mini-Disney theme ...

I definitely liked the feel of the city more than Jyvaskyla, just because it was bigger and had some more interesting architecture. Or maybe I just got bored of Jyvaskyla becasue I was there for a month. We got there and just wandered the streets for a bit and grabbed some pizza for dinner before taking a bus to the Tampere-Pirkkala Airport to catch our flight to London.

... me of Alaska, cold streets and dreary buildings and when the wind blew, it was really cold. Isn't this summer ? It felt like Alaska in September and I could not imagine the summer.

Food-hunting was rather difficult here too because I was trying to avoid the kebab and so I ended up in Macs again but eating the unique offers that are absent in Singapore like pear milkshake,&morzella sticks.
