... it, due to the difficulty to get a taxi after rain, but we did it in the last minute. It was a nice experience, now at least I've been watching a show in the watercube! Afterwords we took a taxi to Ritan Park area where we had a nice, a little bit fancier dinner which was well worth the price, absolutely delicious. Then we went to this new chish Russian nightclub called Chocolate for a few drinks and we really enjoyed it. I recommend this plece to everyone, free entrance ...
Beijing, Beijing, China pietari... you pass a town, and strange to think that in the middle of nowhere there is some toilet tissue - and possibly poop. I then thought about how in winter you would have frozen tissue and poop and how it could be blown into a field and covered with snow and perhaps fossilized or mummified and hundreds of years later someone will discover it. And know that someone came past this way and had eaten mango chips and craptacular pea cream biscuits.

... explanation of how their system works and a background on the guides, which are selected to meet us in each city. The results were simply amazing. We explained our reason for starting in Beijing immediately following the Olympics. By doing so we were able to see the splendor China put in place in preparation for the 2008 Olympics without being involved in the Olympic events. Simultaneously, we were able to visit all the well-known sites mentioned ...
Beijing, China dballard6... to a party and finding out someone is wearing the same thing as you, you might give them a look but no not the Chinese. If any commoner dared to use yellow they were KILLED! Mad but I suppose it did teach people a lesson! Since yellow is the symbol of the royal family, it is the dominant colour in the Forbidden City. Roofs are built with yellow glazed tiles; decorations in the palace are painted yellow; even the bricks on the ground are made yellow by a special process ...
Beijing, China annemarie.demp... Chinese are competing due to the crowd being primarily Chinese and they seriously go crazy for their team! My favorite is how they boo. So, instead of doing the B sound, they only get out the ohhh with no b, but still in the very low voice. It is serioulsy one of the most entertaining things to hear! I'm realizing the ...

Beijing, China fisherlady48... and, like your hands, you are graceful and delicate and feminine (and actually fake). This is actually something I feel, as a feminist, I should not do. I am a strong independent woman who is happy with her appearance...but now I am a strong independent woman with great nails who is even happier with her appearance.... (check out the nails on the photo) I then faced the arduous task of the chinese foot massage and pedicure (given free by ...
Beijing, China nancyjbrown... it would take 34 years to spend a night in each of the palaces that made up the Forbidden City! From palaces to courtyards, we went off to one of the local Hutongs for a bicycle-rickshaw tour of the neighbourhood. The Hutongs are the old style neighbourhoods where the very small houses are all facing the correct Feng Shui directions, built around courtyards and have neither kitchens nor bathrooms ...
Beijing, China jmabro... sun cleaning". So, after another 30 minutes waiting for our guide to let us go (more shopping time), we finally headed back into the bus to go home. My big question was, where does the guide go to hide while we are left shopping?? We were outside by the bus for a good 20 minutes and neither him nor the driver were anywhere to be found. Very strange. Anyways, on the way home, he also wanted us to go directly to a kung fu show that he would get us special prices for. At the hostel ...
Beijing, China romero... across the road from our hotel. It was, interesting. No one there seemed to speak english (which isn't a problem) but we just didn't really have a clue what we were ordering. Turns out it was our lucky day, we got really nice food. We were a bit worried cause we saw Lamb Testicles as one of the dishes for sale. Hmmm??? An early night now (for a change) but we're going to get up at 5:30 tomorrow morning to go to the Great Wall. Should be great!
