We woke late. Had too many coffees and relaxed before heading out to the Drum Tower not far from the Hutong. I forgot that Ade's advice is that when Helen is map reading to go in the opposite direction to where she says. Small mistake meant we took a dis-orientation tour. But we didn't mind its just great to be here.

Today we started our adventure a little late due in part of the previous night's heavy partying. We got the ball rolling getting off subway line 2's Guluodajie station and proceeded to head south. By our stroke of luck, we decided to explore a random hutong which led us to the Drum and Bell Towers.
