    ... the hotel for the ritual ginger tea and then a walk around the village before returning to the hotel for afternoon tea. David fitted in a haircut, shave shower and shampoo to be ready for the beautiful Tibetan women he hopes to meet from tomorrow.
    Another magnificent dinner, with extreme caution in the ordering stakes, before retiring to pack, ready for our early departure in the morning.

    ... Zhongdian in comparison to Lijiang is a degree of discomfort from the government. On the way into town there were a few army groups out parading in the fields. On a couple of occasions around town I had to jump out of the way to avoid some very heavily armed police, completely decked out with riot gear stomping along the streets.
