... shell and closer to the audience in order to stop the sound from becoming too boomy. With plenty of time to rehearse this afternoon we felt comfortable by performance time and did the best concert of the tour to date.

We met the NZ Consulate General briefly after the concert and she spoke very kindly of our performance and was clearly proud to have representatives of New Zealand in her adopted city.

... a group of us got in the taxi and refused to get out. There was a lot of screaming and yelling but we won out in the end after a call to the drivers boss. A VERY angry man...

Tomorrow’s concert is at the spectacular Guangzhou Opera House. I have included a couple of photos I found online so you can see what we’re going to be in for.

Just over a week left...looking forward to our final 2 concerts in China.

being “too cool for school.” I myself carry on with class paying little
attention to the trouble makers to be, but my patience has a limit. The
problem, I’m unawares what will be when that limit is breached.

Finally is Grade 8 Science. I have a feeling this will end
up being my favorite class only because science offers so many activities ...

... how to play China’s national sport, dice. I haven't the skill, but watching others gamble what sums of money they did have was entertaining enough. Another note, aside from the stray cats everywhere, I could not believe how cheap the beer was. For about 10 liters of beer, I think the total tab cam to 100 RMB, so about $15 USD. Certainly an investment worth having a long position.

... what’s interesting enough is every kilometer or so is what at first seems to be playgrounds. When in fact, it’s a collection of small workout machines, mostly for cardio activity. Strange indeed, but I’ve now since added a bit of my time to make use of these machines to my daily regimen.
