Beautiful park ! Many places to fish.

Not dog friendly.

Half campsites were on the beach and half on the river.

Riverside has one bathhouse / Air conditioned but not close to all the sites.

Large sites overall.

Rained the first day, flooded 95% of the riverside sites, ours (#54) was the worst with at least 4" of standing water.

No vacant dry spots. Refund issued returned home.

Will try again during dry season. (maybe)

  • Tomorrow, I leave for Okinawa

  • Fast forward to now, I am stunned that it's time ...

... in the morning. It was a little bit of a cloudy day but it was still nice enough to wear shorts and a light sweater so we took advantage by driving to Okefenoke National Park. Yes say that name out loud, it’s so fun! Okefenoke is a park that is mostly wetland, marshes, and swamps. When we got there we found out there was a big event going on to help raise money for the park. We drove to the Chesser Homestead which was hosting the event and walked around with all ...

... the Atchafalaya River basin today - an 18.2 mile bridge! There was a lot of traffic on I-10 since MadiGras was going on in New Orleans.

One more night on the road. Tonight we will stay at Falling Waters SP in Chipley, FL. Finally a good night's sleep. Peaceful place, and still convientent to the interstate.

We arrived home on Tuesday, ...
