The samurai armour is a work of art, with beautifully woven, colourful designs, topped off with elaborate and detailed helmets. Happily, we were allowed to photograph them, which is often not permitted. And lot of narrow stairs, but well worth the effort.

We were so lucky to get there with the cherry blossoms in full bloom and a lovely warm sunny day. We even luckily saw a ninja there and had some photos taken. Saw another two weddings there too, people must love the photo ops with ...

... Japanese houses. When we arrived in matsue we walked to our hotel, with it's tiny rooms! We had to wait for a little while to get in but got in eventually. We headed back to the station for dinner and met up with Aida sensei and Iitsuka sensei and discussed plans for our visit to Kashima JHS. Don't know about anyone else, but the James family all had an early night for a ...
