... too appealing. The only problem I had with the hostel was its directions on how to get there as there were no directions at all! Luckily, I found some directions a helpful reviewer left on hostelworld which really helped me out, but were not perfect. The best advice I can give is get off the bus at Caotun First Bank and walk North up the main street. You'll pass a McDonald's, keep walking up the road until you come to a big four way ...

Taichung is the next major city after Taipei on Taiwan's western coast. That night we went out with the students and had a great time, they also gave us Chinese names- mine is Shi yuan ( I still don't have the Chinese characters down). Their names go last name then first name and usually mean something. So Shi is from my last name and yuan is a traditional dance and means free or open space. We had been ...

... It was raining out but unlike rainy days here, it does not cool off and was still really hot and humid out. When we got to the university that afternoon the nutrition students were selling cookies as a fundraiser, so we bought some, they were not like the cookies here, but comparable to a shortbread type cookie, and were flavored green tea, mint, chocolate, and vanilla. We also thought it was funny that they were nutrition students, but selling cookies. They ...
