This evening's concert was most definitely the musical highlight of the tour. The Opera House as you will have seen in yesterday's post was beautiful and worthy of its significant reputation. The audiences here are clearly knowledgeable and responded in an unfailingly positive way to our programme.

The acoustic in the Opera House is the most live that the band has played in, so much so that we had to move out of ...

We were picked up at the station by the Guangzhou Opera House Coach – clearly we’re important ;) – and arrived at the fabulous Donlord Hotel where we will spend 2 nights. Most
of the band headed out exploring. We haven’t had many opportunities to shop and sightsee so this was a great opportunity to do so.

While today is a day off for the band, it’s not the case for the Maori group. ...

to settle down into my classes. I realize being thrown into the fire is
the worst, but once the sizzle fades, I for one am more than eager to finally stand
on my feet. Unfortunately, though, that currently is not the case.

On Monday we had our first day of work with no classes. It

Later on, when we returned back to the flat, our group, which consisted of the seven foreign teachers living in my building I’ve noted earlier, decided for round two and headed out to the BBQ Street for snooker and more drinking. Both places where run down, but the fact gave it ...

After one week in foreign China, I find myself still alive. I thought by this time I would have settled in, but Foshan seems just to get bigger each day. Coincidently, because so much has happened since my arrival, I've broken this post to appropriate sub heads to better chronicle my experiences.

I’m coming to learn, the area around my apartment is incredibly diverse. Beyond the front gate, I’ve a populated main street where the bus that takes me to ...
