    Having Coffee at the Changzhou

A travel blog entry by determined34 on Jun 26, 2014

After the bumpy flight from Sydney to ChangZhou, we landed to 35 degrees, humidity level, don't laugh - I have taken off my leggings and wearing my flats without sockets - fashion plus!!! Not so luxurious surroundings here - Qantas does not have a code share lounge. We are sitting in Yeasun Coffee House. With very expensive coffee and dodgy ...

We experienced Luoyang campus life today. We walked through a modified version of the students schedule. The students are up very early every morning ready for their 6:30am exercises. What a sight. They run around the track for almost half an hour. Then it's off to breakfast for 30 minutes and then class begins at 7:30am. The school day ends at approximately 9:30pm. All the AQMs met at the Crown Plaza Hotel Wuxi on Friday 7th March for the second Dipont STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) fair. The event started with a University Challenge quiz for the students, followed by a meal.

The garden was built by a wealthy nobleman about 600 years ago as a display of thanks for his good fortune. After admiring the water features, lotus blossoms we then went to a Pearl Factory to see how freshwater pearls are harvested and then to the showroom where, of course, there was pearl jewelry for ...

    The vivacious, persuasive Jessica

... thunder and lightening. As time approached to meet the bus the rain did die Donna a little and we shared plastic ponchos and made a dash for the pagoda like entrance to the street. Other members on the tour didn't fare as well as we did and some we drenched, but it was all good fun. The downside was that we didn't really get to see much of the hotel but we all agreed that our rooms were probably the best yet. And we all slept really well!
