Adrian was doing his thing with his mates and Elin was not there as she was ill so I just bailed out, I was too tired for a night out anyway. I got back to hostel around 3.30am and saw some of the Mexico vs Argentina match before flaking out around 4am. What a first day, long tiring but good fun. ... I can say about the gardens - only pictures will do them justice. I'll post some when I have access to a computer with a USB port. Suzhou also has a zoo, though this felt more like an animal concentration camp. The spaces were cramped and dirty and zoo-goers were not shy about shouting or throwing food at the animals. I don't know if I feel more sorry for the monkeys in the cages or the ones dragged around by chains. Maybe I won't eat monkey after all.
