    ... there in Maribor, doesn't help we forgot our guide book either. The most entertaining bit was arriving in Ljubljana Airport and picking up the hire car for my first driving on the right hand side of the road experience (have previously driven in NZ but they are the same as side as the UK).

    ... world of art... after all the statues of Florence and painting of Michelangelo, glass works of Mirano and Mosaics of Italy it is nice for them to see a simple mashed of fun created just for kids. (and big kids)...

    Drove around a bit more then headed home ... listening to Children of the Lamp... getting very interesting now.

    anyway.... here is some more info on the monastery.... like the fact they were using herbs to heal.... this is from ...

    ... constant supervision needed in parks in Australia, Canada and the USA. hmmm sensible people, cheaper prices and people go to the parks more often.....

    Anyway - we had a ball. The kids loved all the slides and were delighted to be jumping around in the wave pool, but there favorite was without a doubt the oversized water playground with its many tunnels, jets and supersized water ...

    ... we headed back to the country we had dinner with my sister's friend who was a very nice, intelligent and charming local man who spoke English very well; we were very happy to meet him and exchange stories about our respective countries.

Did the communist authorities have no sense of aesthetic appreciation? Did they have no sense?
