... there in Maribor, doesn't help we forgot our guide book either. The most entertaining bit was arriving in Ljubljana Airport and picking up the hire car for my first driving on the right hand side of the road experience (have previously driven in NZ but they are the same as side as the UK).

The partitioned pond with a drawbridge in front of the monastery has been renovated in its own way. In the garden in front of the monastery the healing plants and other herbs are again being carefully grown.

Walked home for lunch - as you are allowed to have a pass out, but another observation was that people were allowed to carry in coolers (eskies) and bags of food... no problem... in fact they had set aside a lovely grassy area for them to eat - or use the main picnic tables near the drinks area.

It was as if we went back in time. After lunch we hit the pools and relaxed up a storm. At dinner we met a really nice British couple who were visiting a property they own in the area.
