... in under 2 minutes at rush hour while carrying big backpacks, is it really going to be the fastest way?

A minor typhoon passing by to the west meant more wet weather the following morning. Luckily, it was a short hop to the Tokyo subway, which took us to the JR station at Ueno, where we connected to a different train bound for Shinjuku station. We missed the rapid train outbound from there, so took a local train onwards, requiring one ...

... got to work that night :)

Unfortunately I was not able to make an pictures climbing up, it was just to dark. But it looked incredible, to see the clouds beneath you with the moon reflecting on it.The mountain just a shadow on each side of you, reminding you how steep it actually is.

8 km walk from walk Magemo to Tsumago.

The guide book and the tourist information centre told me that it would take 3hours to walk it.
However I only had 2, as I got up way to late to actually do this walk. What can I say i did it in 1 1/2 hours :)

Rock'n Roll!!!! found the coolest little coffee shop in Tsumago.

... equally spectacular. Another batch of small dishes came to us after the beds had been stripped and put away. A ryokan is definitely the way to relax and get a good night sleep. I'd recommend that if you climb Fuji to book one for the night after you've been to the summit. Most have their own onsens which is the perfect thing to do after a lot of ...
