    ... languages. Apparently Spanish and Italian are close enough that they can understand what each other are saying. Nothing else about that night seemed too spectacular.
    Halloween is coming up soon. It's not as big a deal here in England, and I never took the time to go shopping for a costume. I wont be able to attend any parties anyway because I'm going on the University sanctioned trip to Stonehenge the entire weekend.

    ... off with the opposition 5/161 off 36 overs. The rain set in and after a half hour or so the match was called off.

    The ladies of the Eastnor club put on a wonderful dinner. I had roast skin-less chicken with vegetables (a nice change, since there haven't been a lot of vegetables consumed on this tour) and a nice cheesecake for dessert. During the speeches Matt Whitbread is the butt of many jokes and ...

    ... and his dismissal sees John Dedman recycled to join last man Brain (Panda) Scott. Solid defence and some nice shots from John has the score ticking upwards. With a couple of overs to go the big Panda springs to life and sends a couple of lusty blows out through cow-corner - one clearing the rope on one of the longer parts of the ground. John finishes with 45no. They see us through to a final total of 148.
