... close to two Underground Stations. It is probably a 10 minute walk to both. They are only four stations from Buckingham Palace and only five stations from Westminister. There are shops just around the corner and a number of different restaurants and pubs near by.
The Underground is fantastic. We have never had to wait more than two minutes for a train. It is a shame we can't have a similar system in Melbourne. Even the train from Heathrow Airport ...
I woke up at my normal time of about 5am so I let myself out of the apartment and decided to go for a walk. Now I wouldn't do this at home in Perth, however I have absolutely no qualms about doing it here on my own in London. I feel safe knowing nearly every square inch of my favourite city is covered with cctv. I trundled back to the apartment and promptly fell asleep again, waking up at 8. Breakfast today was 'in house' that's the benefit of renting ...

Our only stop over was in Dubai for approx. 2 hours and it was great to get off and have a bit of a walk around. Much to Beryl's disgust, she managed to attract some unwanted attention whilst going through security and ended up being whisked away to be frisked.
