There are already some interesting tales to tell - the first of which came 5 mins into the taxi journey to bodrum. The very dozy-looking taxi driver (who must have been doing the night shift) stopped the car, hopped out and walked away leaving the engine running. 10 seconds later another driver gets in and carries on the journey!

Cruising down the west coast
... an ancient town still in fantastic condition and was really quite interesting. For about 15.00 euro we paid for entry and an audio guide. We planned to be there for some time, but you could imagine the state we were in...tired, short fused, hungry and generally not in the mood for wondering around in the heat! So we headed back to town by about lunchtime..

Not a bad spot to be stranded
... on but how it happened is beyond me. The boat was not that big and the crowd certainly felt enormous. We left late and the trip took a bit longer than normal (because the boat was so low in the water?) and the poor Australians docked with just 20 minutes to get to their cruise. We'll never know if they made it. We, however, had a simple walk to the bus station to head to Turkey's most famous ruin: Ephesus.
