    ... Friday 10 p.m. on an older bus from Chengdu w/ bugs running around inside, but no biting or stings, they stayed on the floor. I loved looking at the passing farms, not so much the occasional grubby towns. I get energy appreciating how land can be well used. I guess I imagine living in one of the rural villages as Peter Hessler, who Chen says is the best, and others write about.

    Today was another relaxed day. I walked, biked, read, napped and did a few Chinese lessons.

    I didn't have any lessons today, due to testing at the Middle School. My classes will resume tomorrow.
