The Bamboo Sea is an official tourist destination with special maps and other recognition. However each local hotel seems to run its own show in arranging visits to sites within the district. It's about 20 miles wide with mostly two lane asphalt roads for the tour buses and private cars.

Neither Chichi nor Chen had been here before, so were excited to visit. This entry continues with lunch on our first day. It's a little tiresome to flip thru ...

... I am quite certain that Nanxi will look completely different by this time next year.

Today was another relaxed day. I walked, biked, read, napped and did a few Chinese lessons.

I didn't have any lessons today, due to testing at the Middle School. My classes will resume tomorrow.

    Until we meet again...
