... the time I was done, there was a bus waiting in front of me, ready to take me back. Nice timing, bus. I snoozed all the way back to Taiyuan.

My hosts told me to take bus 805 to get to their house, but none of the drivers would let me. One finally took me to another stop, where I had to take 831 all the way to the end.

A Little Village - Dayu

It was an old mud and brick village called Dayu. There were still some houses occupied but a lot were empty and in ruins. We found out later that as the elders died and the young people moved away, the town was slowly dying. No different to little places elsewhere, I suppose.

... I needed it most, I leaned on Ben for support, and I actually fell in love with teaching. The one thing I didn't think I would ever, really be passionate about... boy was I wrong.

... the weather, we slowly walked passed every stall, stopping for things we were interested in and of course to take pictures with locals. The mild form of celebrity based on my skin color is something I don't think I will ever get used to. It was a much needed, fun night out!
