After a wild and eventful adventure across the Indian Ocean Basin too breathtaking to capture fully in words, it's difficult to believe that this expedition has come to a complete halt. If only summer lasted forever so that I could continue to expand upon my knowledge of the region back then! The year 1392 seems so much more fascinating than 3619, even without the modern technology we have in this day and ...

We took a long walk in the big park yesterday which is about a 20 walk from our place. It was full of people enjoying the beautiful day ...

Up before 6:00, bags out and down for breakfast. We left this early with our bags because the boat was not able to go through the locks at the dam. With all the rain in China over the past couple of weeks, water had to be released from the dam to prevent flooding upstream. Therefore, buses were used to ferry us and our luggage, firstly to the Three Gorges Dam and then on to Yichang.

Getting us off the boats (there were several) proved to be a very great logistical ...

... with it explaining that it was a day to celebrate my countries independence from James's home country. After that all day long they were wishing me a happy fourth and they seemed to get a kick out of saying it to me. After work I went to play badminton with Yvan and his friends Bones, Sing and Wood Pen. This time I got someone to take a few ...
