My God!!
What??
That was the funniest and oddest bus I've ever been on! Firstly, It took forever to actually book at ticket! The trains were completely booked out so we dragged our backpacks to the bus station. At the station it took the usual amount of repeating and hand gesturing to get a ticket!

After we got off the flight in Taiyuan, Ms. Niu was there to meet us. You'll notice there aren't a lot of picture of us in this entry and that is because when we met her she had brought a professional photographer who was going to take pictures of us. I have to say it takes a really long time to do anything when you have to stop every 5 minutes to get a picture taken of you (by yourself usually) in front of ...
We get dropped off at the Qingxu service station at 2:30am. There's a 24hr convenient store, we find a row of plastic seats and tries to make it until the sun comes up. We have been on the road nonstop for 18 hours, have to wait 7 more hours before we can find a bed.
Taiyuan, Shanxi, China whereskyle... of how tall it is. The third stop is from the bottom. By this time fog had lifted enough to see across. To get to the viewing spot one must walk through a park running along the river. The park was built to show materials used in the construction. A waterfall is made from stones used to show how they were cut and so forth. On the way back to the city we asked Lucy about a good place to eat and she ...

What was cool about this pit was that they had five warriors (a kneeling archer, a standing archer, a cavalryman and horse, a mid-ranking general and a general - all distinguished by their distinctive hairstyles and dress) on display behind glass so that you could get a really close-up view of them. Another great thing about the Warriors is that there could be many more pits still underground waiting to be ...
Xian, Shanxi, China kasey_kid... from the left side of the train station. Look for where all the buses are parked inside a small green fence. The first bus leaves at eight in the morning and the last bus returns at seven thirty in the evening. We caught bus number 308 to return to the city but only catch this one if you want to see a different part of the city from a bus that feels as if it ...
Taiyuan, China eddakath... and 2) few people seem to appreciate it and though I don't do it for appreciation, as I said it does take a lot of time and money, so that list will be greatly pared down for my future travels. {hopefully no one takes this personally as it wasnt written about anyone specific, but more as a general observation} Hong Kong & China: Technically, HK is part of China, but as anyone who's ever been there can testify, Hong ...
