Grey concrete communist concrete apartment blocks, no centre to speak of and surrounded by Coal mines and power stations. Its sins were forgiven slightly when we discovered that the hotel we had booked (at £45 a night) turned out to be the only 5* hotel in the town, and we had been upgraded to a suite J.
