    ... maybe, but I want to give this location it's due. Like many tourists, I often think, what is this place like?

    At times it reminds of the Smokies in North Carolina with their thick rhododendron understory, small communities in the Berkshires of New England, or creeks going into the Buffalo River in Arkansas. Gradually I've learned that the bamboo is indeed a unique plant that has made this forest a treasure.

    Wish we had more than parts of three days here, but we've had a great time exploring an historic culinary & natural landscape. While back in Mianyang, Chen got word his friend Chichi has been able to get time off from work and will join us.     This train took us across the river to the Science Museum. Auntie Rachel and I walked down the street from the museum to the Oriental Pearl Tower. It was a long walk, but along the way we saw some really cool things! The streets was lined with trees that had lights like Christmas time. It was so pretty.
