Wish we had more than parts of three days here, but we've had a great time exploring an historic culinary & natural landscape. While back in Mianyang, Chen got word his friend Chichi has been able to get time off from work and will join us. I was glad because Chen will be in an especially good mood, and Chichi adds an element of calm as I …

The Bamboo Sea is an official tourist destination with special maps and other recognition. However each local hotel seems to run its own show in arranging visits to sites within the district. It's about 20 miles wide with mostly two lane asphalt roads for the tour buses and private cars.

At People's Square there is a beautiful garden and a lot of really cool buildings to look at. We walked around People's Square for a long time. I liked it very much.

Auntie Rachel and I went for a walk to a ...

I spent the morning actually packing rather than staring and my things. I was able to fully pack and clean before going to lunch.

This afternoon Maria and I made a impulsive decision to go for one more round of shopping before I leave. We shopped for a few hours and I definitely bought more than I should have.

At 4:30 I was to meet the principals at the school for a photo in front of ...

    A day in the mountains

... Auntie Rachel and I love to fish! We almost caught two really big fish! Unfortunately, we were both so excited to catch a fish that we pulled the fishing pole too hard and lost the fish. We didn't catch any fish, but it was so much fun!

I loved being outside in the mountains. It reminded me of the mountains at Noami's home in Montana.

It is time say my prayers and go to sleep. Good ...
